Rainbow Heliconia – Costa Rica February 23, 2015

Beautiful day here.  I don’t think I have posted a picture yet of my Rainbow Heliconia.  On this variety, the “cups” of the rainbows hang upwards to catch the rain.  Sometimes, little creatures live their whole lives in their own little cup.  It differs from the Crab Claw Heliconia in that those hang downwards.  A little lesson for you in recognizing the many types of heliconia in our tropical climes.

Hi Paula – I am Linda Jensen. I only did the Hillside show once several years ago and I only brought knits to sell. So, you probably have the wrong person, but please continue your quest with Hillside folks and you will eventually find the “Mary” you were looking for.
