Nice Day at the Getty Museum February 6, 2014

It was a gorgeous day in Southern Cal, so my husband, brother and SIL headed out early to take in the sights of the Getty Museum in the Hollywood Hills.  Now, you never know where inspiration is going to hit you smack on the head, but the Getty certainly offers many opportunities around every corner.  First, my hubby is now planning a bougainvillea project when we go down to Costa Rica from this inspiration coming from the Getty’s Central Garden:

Then, I need to knit another “Shawl Gone Wild” for the boutique at PVAC since I have sold some and need to replenish a couple.  I walk into the European Hall of paintings to see:

So I come home and pull these yarns from my stash:

Then, as we are leaving, I stop at the Gift Shop and get myself a gift.  I will save that one for later, when I can work out how I can duplicate it.  So, check out your local museum to get an injection of inspiration!
