Made a special shawl for a customer’s 50th Wedding Anniversary. I know she will look so elegant in it. We choose bright white and gold yarns to match her wedding dress, but she didn’t want the gold to be too prevalent. Also, it had to come to a little waterfall in front, held by a hidden loop so it wouldn’t fall open, but would stay in place in the front. I had to shape the back so that it would stay on her shoulders. I worked very hard on it to make it exquisite and to eliminate yarn ends that would spoil the overall design since she did not want fringe. So at last, after thinking through all the pitfalls of a multi-yarn shawl (my trademark), I completed it for her and she was pleased. Here is a picture on my finished product.
